One of my favourite gardening memories stems from when I was living in Perth, WA, where asparagus really thrives. When the shoots were just the right length, we got down on all fours and started browsing them! Great fun.
A few days after being weeded, fertilised and top soiled, the asparagus are pushing up in great numbers, despite a lack of rain. Here's a cute baby poking its tip through the dry ground.
