Another moon
This doesn't really look like the moon, but it is, rising full and fat over Whangarei Town Basin (marina). I took lots of photos in which the moon appeared twice before I tried resting the camera on the hatchback of my car to hold it steady for the long exposure. That's why it's on a funny angle and looks like a completely different celestial body. As a sci-fi reader I like to imagine that this is the kind of image one could take from a planet with a gaseous moon or perhaps a space habitat near Saturn?
